Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in theRetail, Banking and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis(AT:PSALr), which rose 5.77% or 0.006 points to trade at 0.110 at the close. Meanwhile,Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) added 3.21% or 0.160 points to end at 5.150 and Iktinos Hellas(AT:IKTr) was up 2.94% or 0.0280 points to 0.9800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which fell 10.00% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.18 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 9.68% or 0.0150 points to end at 0.1400 and Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr) was down 9.45% or 0.0830 points to 0.7950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 46 to 41 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.21% or 0.160 to 5.150.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.05% or 0.65 to $1356.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.02% or 0.84 to hit $40.76 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.93% or 0.84 to trade at $42.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1174, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8457.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 95.62.
